Parent Involvement is an important and necessary part of the Early Explorers programs. Parents are encouraged to participate in any number of activities available in the communities that Early Explorers serve. Some of these activities include:
  • Parent meetings- opportunities for parents to meet with other parents to share parenting issues and work together on parent planned activities and projects. Each parent meeting includes a topic presented by the local Generalist or Family Development Coordinator. Parents are encouraged to suggest topics of interest for these meetings.

  • Early Explorers- this is a parent/child activity held twice monthly for the enrolled child/children and their parents. Children and parents attend a socialization where structured and unstructured activities are presented. A family style meal is provided.

  • Men and Me Nights - the child's father or a significant male figure is encouraged to participate in an evening of activities specifically designed to interest and involve men and children. For more information of prior Men and Me Nights, click on the Men and Me link below.
Check the Calendar for dates for these events.
