Prenatal

Early Head Start serves pregnant women and their families in a home based setting. Early and continuous supports and service provide the best opportunities for healthy pregnancies and positive childbirth outcomes, supportive postpartum care for the parents and child, father involvement and nurturing and responsible care during infancy. Prenatal bi-monthly home-visiting services, delivered by the Early Head Start Infant Toddler Parent Educators, focus on providing research based information on fetal development, labor and delivery, postpartum recovery, the benefits of breastfeeding, welcoming siblings, and addressing the unique interests/concerns of each prenatal individual.
